Description
This rather aggressive fish should be kept as a couple. A territory is made and defended fanatic. Plants can be used as a decoration and they only dig in the substrate during breeding time. The aquarium should be decorated with stones, driftwood and hard plants. They need enough free swimming space and a lot of hiding places.
Food
They are omnivorous but they prefer live or frozen food.
Breeding
Breeding is very easy. Up to 500 eggs are laid and fertilized on a stone. Both parent care for the fry for several weeks.
