Description
Bursa Trigger has a face that is half white and half yellow; it also has a pencil-thin moustache and a colorful mask across the eyes. Another distinguishing feature is a large black circlular area on the abdomen.
Food
The Bursa Trigger fish is a carnivore that can be fed a mixed diet of shrimp, squid, clams, fish, and other meaty fares suitable for carnivores, as well as marine algae and vitamin-enriched herbivore foods.
Breeding
We are unable to provide any information regarding the breeding of Bursa Trigger in aquariums.
Compatible with
Does best in a large fish only predator tank. May eat smaller tank mates as well a variety of invertebrates. Considered semi-aggressive, this fish may become territorial and aggressive to new tank mates. Can be housed with other triggerfish, but advised not to keep triggerfish of the same species in a tank.
Note
The Bursa Triggerfish, once it is comfortable in your aquarium, displays an active interest in it's evironment and it's keeper. But be sure you keep it well fed. Also make sure it has plenty of space, and a cave or rock formation where it can retreat to.
